Today is July the Fourth and I find myself sitting here writing yet another blog. I never know when I am going to write one, or even if I will ever write another one. But, when something strikes a spark in me and the words, sentences and ideas start formulating in my mind over a few days they have to come up and out of me so here we go. For the past fifty-one years in the small town I live in we have a "Homecoming" during the Fourth of July week. This consist of beauty pageants, singing, carnival rides, games and food. Then on the last day we have a parade through the streets of Stanley and a display of fireworks as soon as it is dark. It surely is a time for celebration and for me making new friends this year. On a spur of the moment on my way home from work I decided to try to set up a display to sign and sell some copies of my book "The Day Before." I happened upon two men that were also hoping to have their story told through book. They were on a ball team in Stanley in 1955 and 1956, They kept each statistic during that time and wrote a little about their story, got it copyrighted and hope to have a documentary made about it (Stanley Sandlot Baseball Group.) They said to me "So you are a writer?" Well that sent the wheels in my mind in motion because I never thought of myself as a "writer." I am the "author" of a book, but a writer? After fifty plus years how does one "become" a writer? Isn't that something you know all your life and have made a living from? Well I am about to tell you how it started for me or should I say when it was that I became "aware" of it. ![]() After the sudden death of my boyfriend Sam I went into a "spiritual awakening" and the layers of my old self were starting to peel back and drop away. Who I truly was/am at the core has been slowly revealing itself to me. At our very core we are "pure" love because what we are is an expression of God/Divine/Source/Universe. Imagine a sparkler like the kind on the Fourth of July that kids love to play with. That sparkler is in tact on one piece of wire to hold but when it is lit many many sparks fly off of it. That is what we are! "Sparks of the Divine" Those tiny sparks came from that one sparkler and not one element as far as the composition of what is in those sparks is different from the original one sparkler. You see, we are all an expression of God himself in all of our divinity. The problem is we have "forgotten" who we are but as of the last few years so many are now remembering. What our mission here on earth is to find our way back to love. For many eons now we have lived in the dark but so much light (truth) is hitting the earth now and so many of us are waking up to that truth. We are uncovering all of our creativeness and transforming our lives so that our most authentic self can live fully. It can get uncomfortable at times as these new energies are purging things from us that no longer serve us. We are to look at what we fear and what our triggers are so we can clear them and live a life full of love, peace, joy and abundance. Not really knowing where we are going but trusting the journey will bring us to higher levels of our true nature. We are beautiful eternal souls that are having a human experience. So many think we are in search of a "spiritual" experience but we are "Spirit" first and foremost. We are worthy of love and being loved and I don't mean under conditions like society and so many sectors have taught us. Love is unconditional, and when we can live our lives from that perspective and give that to others then we are on the road to our true nature. We all have so many gifts that we were born with and we have so much love in our hearts because we are that "spark." That beautiful, shining divine spark of our creator, here on earth to awaken to that love within. Living our lives so that we can bring Heaven on earth into it, and help light the path for others struggling to get out of the darkness. So yes, I am a writer and an author but not of just books or blogs but of my own life. I have the courage to live my life from a place that I am comfortable with without conforming to the way others think I or we should live. It is freeing and liberating and all in perfect timing here on the "Fourth" as each step of my path unfolds before me. So a very Happy Fourth to all of you and may you let your benevolent light/spark shine for all to see and live a life full of love and peace. That is your complete birthright! So much love and light my friends. Written July Fourth 2017 @ 10:13am
