This past week was the week of Easter. It was also the week in which a great woman I've known as my Mother-in-love (the grandma of my two daughters) left her physical body. It broke my heart to see her depart but I know that I will see her again. When a loved one dies life just keeps on going as if nothing has happened. The whole week was swirling around like a twister out of control as I still had to show up for work and carry on with all the daily things we have to do. Everyone's schedule seemed packed as we all raced around doing what we had to do to prepare for the arrangements and get ready for Easter all at the same time. It all got a bit overwhelming and everyone that I talked to was feeling like they were in a pressure cooker (even my friends who were not working or dealing with the death of a loved one.) We all seemed to take a sigh of relief once the funeral was over and all that was left the next day was to celebrate Easter. ![]() , There have been a lot of energies hitting the earth now and it affects each and everyone of us. Today, April the seventh, Venus goes direct. Venus is the planet of love and the next two weeks are a perfect time to go within and dig deep into your soul. I got a visualization of going within and tending to a garden. This garden does not have to be planted because the seeds are already there under the soil, ready to be nurtured and cultivated so that it can grow. We all were born with the beautiful seeds of love, peace, joy, creativity and play. Life can get tough at times and cause the seedlings not to grow. It is up to us as we start returning to our authentic self to allow what lies beneath to sprout to the top and flourish. t How do we do this though? We do this by slowing down, going within and meditating. By taking a good look at what our heart center is saying/feeling and not our mind. We have to allow each emotion to arise in us and when it does we need to honor it, take a good look at it to see what it has to teach us. If we are angry then we need to see why we are angry. So many times we think that bad things happen "to" us instead of "for" us. What we perceive as bad can actually be a blessing and show up as our greatest teacher. We need to see what it really is we want to do and where we are taking short cuts to avoid moving away from our comfort zone. If we sacrifice our own happiness out of fear then how can we live a most happy life and be of service to others? ![]() The next two weeks I will be working in the garden of my soul. I will be watering and nurturing all the beautiful attributes that God has instilled in each and everyone of us. I hope that when I am in my mind and feeling that life is a bit overwhelming, that I drop down into my heart-space to see what is truly there. Love is there, joy is there, goodness and peace are ever-present. I don't want them to be buried underneath anything. I want to nurture that love so that I can live in peace and have time to play in the fields of life. I want to be a bright light to others so that we all can fill our baskets up with the most beautiful fruits when it is time for harvesting. Won't you join me. In love and light.
